    1099 tax form data for tax year 2014 will be available in late January 2015 for most individual mutual fund accounts and IRAs. The T. Rowe Price Real Assets Fund, T. Rowe Price Real Estate Fund, T. Rowe Price Global Real Estate Fund, and T. Rowe Price Small-Cap Value Fund tax forms will be available in mid-February. If you are importing your Brokerage or Brokerage Advantage account tax information directly into a tax preparation product such as H&R Block Online and Tax Software, this capability will be available on March 1, 2015.

    Please note: This importing capability currently is not supported for T. Rowe Price workplace retirement accounts. You will need to enter these data manually.

    What Are H&R Block Online and Tax Software Tax Programs?

    H&R Block Online and Tax Software tax programs are software and online applications that can assist you in the preparation and filing of your federal and state tax returns. Using H&R Block Online and Tax Software programs, you can import your T. Rowe Price 1099 Consolidated Tax Statement information directly into H&R Block Online and Tax Software programs, eliminating the need to enter the information manually. You must obtain H&R Block Online and Tax Software programs independently. They are not provided by T. Rowe Price.

    When I Use H&R Block Online and Tax Software Programs to Download My Tax Information, Does H&R Block Online and Tax Software Save My Account Information?

    No. All of your account information used by H&R Block Online and Tax Software is located and stored at T. Rowe Price. H&R Block Online and Tax Software serves as an interface between your computer and T. Rowe Price.

    1. H&R Block Online and Tax Software sends the access information you provide (user ID and password ) to T. Rowe Price's server for authentication and authorization. (Authentication verifies your identity, and authorization verifies permission to fulfill a request.)
    2. A secure pathway is established between T. Rowe Price's server and H&R Block Online and Tax Software.
    3. Using the secure pathway, T. Rowe Price's server transmits your data to the H&R Block Online and Tax Software program on your computer. H&R Block Online and Tax Software accepts the data as-is from T. Rowe Price (that is, H&R Block Online and Tax Software does not modify, filter, add, exclude, or block any data).

    T. Rowe Price is using an industry standard Open Financial Exchange (OFX) server to provide the data to you over a secured Internet connection.

    What Types of Accounts Are Not Eligible to Import Tax Information Into H&R Block Online and Tax Software Programs?
    • Tax-deferred accounts (such as IRAs and retirement plans)
    • Corporate accounts
    Is Cost Basis Information Imported Into H&R Block Online and Tax Software Programs Limited to Transactions That Are Reported on Form 1099-B?

    Yes. Transactions that are not reportable on Form 1099-B, such as options sales, will not have their associated cost basis information imported. Even though T. Rowe Price may provide the cost basis and acquisition date information associated with sales transactions reported on Form 1099-B, it is your responsibility to verify and reconcile that information with Form 1099-B. Form 1099-B reports sales proceeds only and does not report gain or loss on a transaction.

    Do H&R Block Online and Tax Software Programs Import Wash Sale Information?

    No. You must check your own records to determine if you are correctly reporting any potential wash sale(s) transactions.

    Will Using H&R Block Online and Tax Software Programs Stop Me From Receiving My T. Rowe Price 1099 Consolidated Tax Statement in the Mail?

    No. You will still receive your 1099 forms in the mail. The H&R Block Online and Tax Software program import features are not a substitute for 1099 forms.

    If I Have Multiple Accounts, How Do H&R Block Online and Tax Software Programs Determine Which Accounts to Import?

    H&R Block Online and Tax Software programs will import tax information for all accounts having the same Social Security number as the one you enter on the "Login to T. Rowe Price" screen. If a spouse has separate accounts or a joint account with the other spouse's Social Security number, the tax information for that account has to be imported separately using that Social Security number.

    What Should I Do If I Receive a "Corrected" 1099 Form in the Mail?

    You can manually adjust your H&R Block Online and Tax Software program return to reflect the "corrected" 1099 information or you can remove and reimport the data. You should review the reimported H&R Block Online and Tax Software program data against the corrected 1099. Please note that the corrected 1099 is the official document sent to the IRS by T. Rowe Price.
