BusinessWeek magazine recently named T. Rowe Price as one of the top 10 companies on its annual list of “Customer Service Champs.” The list included the top 25 champions from more than 200 brands, identifying the techniques, strategies, and tools they use to deliver great customer service. As noted in the BusinessWeek article, “The tough economy has made starker the difference between companies that put customers first and those that sacrifice loyalty for short-term gain.”

BusinessWeek’s list of customer service champs is based on combined scores from a series of studies in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2008 database for each brand. In addition, the magazine considers nominees from its 5,000-member Market Advisory Board. Companies were selected based on perceived quality of staff and efficiency of service. BusinessWeek and T.
